TRUSTING GOD FOR HIS WORDS

Image
"No one will be able to defeat you all your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forget you.” (Joshua 1:5) You need to learn to lean on the Lord. It doesn’t mean just believe in him — it means depend totally, completely, and exclusively on God. When you lean on something, you expect it to hold you up. You can lean on the Lord. "No one will be able to defeat you all your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forget you” (Joshua 1:5).If you study Joshua's life, you’ll find that, as long as he leaned on the Lord, he was undefeatable. When you think you can’t do something on your own power, that’s OK. Lean on God, and he will give you his power to do what he’s called you to do. You lose your fear when God is near, and he’s promised to always be with you. Some of you are leaning on other people. They may be Christians, they may be godly people, but they will let you down because they’r...

NOTABLE WAYS GOD WILL MAKE THINGS NEW FOR THE BELIEVERS(PT 2)

2. God Will All Things Victoriously New : Victory is our inheritance as Christians, if you are born again and belong to the kingdom of God by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior Your victory is sure both physically and spiritually. You give me your shield of victory and your right hand sustains me. Ps 18:35. Jesus said…”Take courage, I have overcome the world on the cross. Let us consider how David got his victory over Goliath in 1 Sam 17:1-47. David’s weapons of warfare:- 1.  Pronounce the past victories. Every believer in Christ would have experienced at one time or the other at least some kind of a victory or deliverance in his life. You would have passed in your exams. You might have received healing from sickness or found the lost thing you have been praying for. It is good to go from the known to the unknown. David had never fought any Goliath before but God gave him victory over a lion and a bear. He said to Saul, Your servant has killed both lio...

UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART

Image
A time is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will punish all those who are circumcised in body but not in spirit.   ( Jeremiah 9:25 NLT ) We often put a fresh coat of paint on wood that looks good but has started to rot on the inside.  The paint job looks fine, but it does not solve the problem.  Ancient Israel had a similar dilemma.  They were trying to deal with an internal problem with an external solution. Israel practiced the circumcision of the flesh but without a corresponding change of heart. This practice is not just an Old Testament problem.  The Sacrament of Baptism is an outer expression of an inner work of God’s Spirit.  A genuinely repentant heart must precede baptism. You can go into the baptismal pool a dry sinner and come out a wet one.  Without sincere contrition, we will practice a form of religion. We work on changing our outward behaviors, without dealing with heart attitudes and issues.  This type of faith puts the...

NURTURE YOUR LIFE(A MOTIVATIONAL TALK)

The highest aim of any spiritual path is surrender. Although you may associate the word surrender with defeat or weakness, it is the most powerful spiritual action, offering you infinite freedom and possibilities. Surrender is trusting that God, the Universe, or a higher intelligence can accomplish anything, even when you can’t foresee the outcome of a situation. At the level of spirit, everything is always unfolding perfectly, and you don’t have to struggle or force situations to go your way. It is only your ego-mind that believes you are an isolated individual trying to survive in a hostile world. In truth, you are a spiritual being. When you surrender to Spirit and listen to voice of your deeper intelligence, you end the struggle. You free yourself from fear and doubt and release the obstacles your ego has created. The entire spiritual path could be described as learning to let go, but letting go all at once isn’t possible. This is a path of many small steps, a process ...
