TELL YOUR SOUL TO REST(By Ola Sunday E)
Sometimes our dreams feel like they’re
dying... When we call on God and wonder if He hears our cries. When doubts rage
loud, and our Savior grows quiet.
When sickness strikes, when a friend betrays, when a
spouse disappoints or a child rebels, we can find ourselves hoping for a better
ending to our story. then we mutter, “If God loves us,
why do we suffer?”
Yet when we turn toward God in our pain, He can use our
suffering to mature our faith. If we are willing to sit still and let God work,
we will find ourselves being transformed into His image.
Heirs, our present position isn’t
just a place of pain. It’s a place of possibility. It
is a fertile soil for flourishing faith.
\Never can we survive the middle by rewriting the story;
we survive it by anchoring our hope to the One who has already scripted the
perfect ending.
There will come a day when no one will be stuck in the
middle, with no more tears and no more pain (Rev 21:3-5)...
