OVERFLOWING BLESSINGS (EPHESIANS 3:20, PSALM 23:5)
God as a self-sufficient one
is able to grant to His children more than what is requested from him. “God
gives than our request”.
God is described as one who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above
all that we ask or think. As OMNISCIENT (ALL KNOWING) GOD, He did not only know
your heart but also what you are thinking and even what you did not think or
imagine.
Our heart as human is too
narrow to comprehend the whole wisdom and knowledge of God i.e. you cannot know
all what God is able to do in your life because He is unlimited by space and
power. God blessings to His people are overflowing ones.
We only ask for what we want
from God in prayers, but God will give what we need, because our wants may
sometimes not be our needs, but He alone knows our needs.
BIBLICAL INSTANCES OF THE EXCEEDING WORKS OF GOD
Jacob (Israel)Gen 45:28: Jacob as an old man, was in sorrow for
many days because of the sudden death of his beloved child Joseph. There was
famine in land at a latter time of his life. This made him send his children to
Egypt to buy food for him but they came back with unbelievable news that Joseph
was still alive. He now requested one thing from God in prayer that he would Joseph’s face alone, but God
gave him three answers of not only to see Joseph’s face but also to see His
wife, children, and to enjoy his wealth as prime minister in foreign land.
The Surnamite widow(2Kings
8:6)
Surnamite widow was told by
prophecy to leave her house and be exile. After seven years of coming back she
met all properties taken over by another person. She pleaded to recover them
back but no way, and she wept bitterly. In her travail she went to the heavenly
king for intervention. After this, her house, land and seven years of her farm
products and rentage was commanded to be given back to her.
As you are today crying for
one positive thing or the the others the Lord will surprise you. Overflowing
blessings of God are coming your way just He surprised both Jacob and Surnamite
widow, In Jesus name amen!!!
